me

A young woman with short brown hair, tattoos on her hands and neck, and earrings, smiling while holding a yellow flower in front of a bush with yellow and orange flowers.

I started studying biology in Maine and found a deep appreciation for all livings things and how they work together. I deepened that intimacy with nature after moving to Alaska to live off-grid for a few years. This experience made me want to understand the body in the same way. I moved to Washington and got my doctorate in acupuncture and herbal medicine from the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine. Now I get to use ancient techniques to help the body reestablish harmony so that you can feel better.

The body is made of different channels that flow like rivers. When something obstructs that river, it cuts off communication between the different parts of the body. We find where the river is blocked and restore flow. Your body is smarter than you and I, it knows what to do from there.

There is no separation between us and our environment. Our bodies work their best when we are in nature and move like nature. My tools only go so far, part of the healing will be what you do when you leave the clinic. Let’s talk about it and make a plan that you feel excited about.

Tell me your story. There is extra time so we can talk about all the systems in the body and get a better idea of what’s going on. This is a perfect time to tell me about all those weird symptoms you’ve been having that no one has been able to explain. East Asian Medicine likely has an explanation for it.
